Personality: Yotono is the type of person who is stern in what he believes in will let no one tell him different. Among other of his rank and below Yotono is pretty laid back but he will be the first one to lash out against arrogance and disrespect. Among his superiors Yotono is a well oiled soldier who has the ability to put his personal opinions aside and execute his orders without hesitation.

Physical Appearance: Yotono is a tall adolescent with a physically fit body. His body type is a little on the slender side with his defined collarbones accentuating it. Yotono stands just over 6ft tall with medium length dark brown hair cascading down to the back of his neck. Yotono's light blue eyes embellish his light complexion and provides him with an even more enhanced adolescent look. His weight of 152lbs offset his slender frame a bit but once one witnesses his amazing strength this oddity becomes explainable. Yotono's zanpaktou is placed on his hip at tilt as it is held up by his white kimono sash. The hilt of his blade is crimson red with bronze diamonds aligning the middle and his blade is a translucent silver that reflects abnormally bright in the presence of sunlight. His hilt is comprised of a crimson sheath wrapped in an array cloth wrappings to preserve its delicate features at all times. Yotono has a defined nose and smooth cheek bones that gives him an even more child like look to his already adolescent appearance.

Clothing: Yotono wears a black kimono with a white underlay for added comfort. He also adorns white socks with the average light brown woven sandals with the skirt of his kimono hanging just above his ankles. Yotono's captains cloak has been outfitted with a high collar and been refined to fit more as a jacket coat then an actual captains cloak. However his squad 10 insignia remains engraved on the back.

Traits: The only real quirk Yotono has is his fatal addiction to his curiosity.This at often times puts him in situations he has no business in.

History/Background:

Yotono's earlies memories of the afterlife date back to his first days in the academy. It was an awkward transition from undefined slum districts in rukonagi to the highly refined respects of soul society. This was of course before the arrancar invasion and all of the madness that came with it." Yotono-san your going to be late for you kidou training." a familiar voice intoned from across the class room. It was Miyari, one of Yotono's best friends at the academy. She was a petite red head with the flattest chest most probably in the female gender. At the time this was ok, there was no way Yotono was really into girls as a kid that young. At any rate Yotono followed Miyari out into the training yard where his fellow students were lined up in front of dummy targets. Yotono and Miyari quickly hopped in line before they got in trouble with their wicked sensei Haruba. It was shakkahou training that day and red reiatsu orbs were whizzing left and right. " Yotono your up! Remember to keep your feet shoulder width apart at all times." Yotono nodded without a word and proceeded to recite the incantation. The force was a lot stronger than Yotono had expected thus knocking him off balance and causing his shakkahou blast stray into wall on the far end of the training grounds. Yotono heard a loud laughter from his piers before he fell to the ground in a loud thud. Typically Yotono was good at all of the lesson prior to kidou training most probably because it was all zanjutsu training up until this day. Before Yotono could gather his barings and rise to his feet a unfamiliar hand was outstretched to him, the persons to whom it belonged to was blotted out by the sun above." You should be a bit more careful, kidou training can be tough on your first try." the figure said as Yotono took the mans hand and rose to his feet. " Who might you be?" Yotono replied with a curious look upon his face." My name is Gakido Taruno, Lt. of the first division, its a pleasure to meet you Yotono." Yotono was in awe as he had never actually met a real Lt. before but was more puzzled as to how this Taruno guy knew his name." Back of the line Yotono you can try again once everyone else has gone. Leave Taruno-kun be, Im sure he has some very important business to attend to." Haruba said as he bowed in respect to 1st division Lt.. Yotono had then made his way back to the line all the while keeping his eyes on that Taruno guy, he sure was suspcious. He was a rather tall man roughly around 7 feet and probably weighed a little over 200lbs. He was completely bald and had the brightest green eyes he had ever seen.

Many years went by after that day and Yotono had become one of the top students in his class along with his friend Miyari and a few other acquaintances of his. On his last year in the academy Yotono had caught a glimpse of Taruno, the 1st division Lt. sneaking around in the academy compound during recreation hours. Given his inability to stray away from his curiosity Yotono shadowed Taruno to a dark alley way that led to a dead end. A mysterious figure seemed to be awaiting Taruno in a dark hooded cloak. From Yotono's vantage point he could barely make out what was being said but he did notice a hole in the cloaked figures chest similar to that of a hollows." Would you mind disposing of our little rat Taruno. You know how much I dislike pests." Yotono gasped as the hollow like man pointed in his direction but before he could react Taruno had appeared behind with his zanpaktou drawn and his breath beating down Yotono's neck."Ya'know kid the whole time you were following me I was hoping you would turn around and go back to class. Its unfortunate. I really liked you and now I'm forced to kill you because you have seen far too much." Yotono jumped back from Taruno and drew his zanpaktou." I dont know whats going on here but your not going to get away with it!" Yotono intoned as his blade shook from the trembling in his hands. Taruno smiled at him with a malicious grin before charging him with great speed. Before long Taruno had completely worn out Yotono as he found himself on the ground bleeding immensely with nothing but his zanpaktou at his side. " You know I must say for an academy student you sure were pretty good. Looks like you've learned a lot since that day we first met. Oh well, you would have been an excellent shinigami but it seems now you will be the first to die at the hands of the Arrancars plot of destruction" Yotono did not know what an arrancar was or anything of this plot of destruction. All he could really think about was that he was about to die a pathetic death by a guy he was heavily suspicious about all of these years. "Looks like you stuck your nose in a little to deep this time" a disembodied voice said to him as time around him seemed to be frozen." What the !?" Yotono uttered as he noticed the voice coming from his zanpaktou." Do not be afraid, I am your zanpaktou. My name is Numaikoshu and if you want to survive you will do as i say." Yotono nodded and listened to Numaikoshu. After hearing his zanpaktou's orders he gripped it by the hilt and slowly made his way to his feet still bleeding out of his open gashes. Then time suddenly started up again. Taruno looked on at Yotono puzzled as to how he seemingly appeared on his feet in what seemed to him like an instant." Zip through the wind, Numaikoshu!" Yotono shouted as his reiatsu surged in an overwhelming force catching Taruno not only by surprise but also off guard. But before his zan could complete its shikai transformation a batch of shinigami teachers came running down the alleyway. Unfortunately they were too late to catch Taruno and the hooded figure as they had fled during the commotion regarding Yotono's reiatsu. After being rushed to the 4th division for treatment many alarms began to sound and hollow began to rear their ugly faces in the walls of the seretei and the events from that day resulted in today's reality. Now Yotono is one of the few surviving shinigami living in rukonagi, he is currently un assigned to a squad but it has been rumored of the 8th division interest in him and his abilities, only time will tell how his fate will unfold.
