Shikai Ability: When in shikai form, this zanpaktou dissipates upon the user. The metal of the zanpaktou forms a coating around the whole body of the user (a customized full body metal armor, basically). This full body metal armor does not make the user invincible, but the user will not have regular open wounds. There prevents blood loss so the user is still effective in battle. The user can take damage, although in this form the damage is considerably less. This form also transforms all of the users' reiatsu into speed/strength because this zanpaktou has been specifically designed for the user to use effective physical, hand-to-hand, combat. Like it said before, this metal is not impervious, it just adds a powerful layer of defense so that damage is still taken, but not nearly as much; as well as wounds not bleeding because the skin will not be penetrated because of the metal coating surrounding your entire body. Damage is still taken, it's just a little less noticeable.



Bankai zanpacktou: A giant battle axe is formed, it two times Ban's size but he can control it perfectly, the axe has an enourmous destructive power.

Bankai Ability: Ban's whole body, full and full, is now hardened. Ban cannot be cut by an un-released zanpaktou and the opponent must be quite a bit more powerful than Ban to purge his skin in shikai form. A simple attack will not do any harm to him, the opponent must use a bit more powerful attack or technique in order to actually cut him. He is also subject to a large speed increase. This speed takes a lot to maintain though so using it regularly would eventually tire out Ban. Ban is also able to keep his zanpaktou in bankai, but the appearance is different.


Techniques:

Metal Bending[Shikai]: The user can manipulate any of the metal coating on his body into many useful items to assist him in battle. For example, if there is an attack that he cannot stop so easily, he can manipulate the metal on one of his arms to become a shield to help block. This has a limit because you only have so much metal coating. Only a certain amount of metal can be created because the metal cannot be trandformed back into reiatsu. Also creating so much metal with so much weight can eventually crush your body under the pressure. If the reiatsu is increased, the metal bending also increases in the same percentage.

Steal[Bankai]: There are two forms to perform this techniques, it depends on the range; for close range every time the giant battle axe cuts the enemy a percentage of his/her reiatsu is stolen and go in Ban's favor. For long ranged attacks Ban send metal particles to attach the enemy's body, if the particle succesfully attaches the enemy, the reiatsu is also stole. The maximum amount of stolen reiatsu is 40% of the enemy's reiatsu, this same percentage is increased for Ban.

Needle Rain[Shikai]: The user jumps into the air and points both of his arms at the ground. He then concentrates his reiatsu into his arms and fires hundreds of metal needles from his arms, down, like a rainstorm, upon the opponent. One needle cannot do significant damage, unless it hits a vital organ/body part, but with the hundreds of needles coming down at one time, it is almost 100% likely that more than one needle is going to hit the opponent.

Metal Clone[Bankai]: Ban uses all the metal around to create 2 clones of himself, these clones are completely metalic and cannot be destroyed until the end of the technique. Although they are made from metal, they are extremely fast, have an enormous reiatsu and they have intelligence, they can dodge and attack at their will but still can be controlled by Ban. Every time the clones hit the enemy, the enemy will lose 3% of their reiatsu which Ban absorves. After the effect, the clone's reiatsu go in Ban's favor, he gains 60% increase.
