Playing a gig((Open)) Empty
PostSubject: Playing a gig((Open))   Playing a gig((Open)) EmptyThu Oct 01, 2009 4:01 am

Dai walked over the mahogany boards of wood at her feet, her black vans making no noise as she glided toward the brown stool that stood before a microphone. All around her were black curtains, decorated with flashing lights and posters depicting her singing into a microphone with an acoustic guitar on her lap. Her long, chestnut hair, swayed behind her as she picked up her pace, reaching the microphone in seconds. Smiling sweetly with her thin, rosy lips, she looked out toward the crowd and examined them. Her electric blue eyes were piercing, captivating the men and intimidating the women. She kept a strong and sweet smile on her face, though inside she was shaking like a massage chair. Steeling her nerves, she reached out and wrapped her slender fingers around the cold metal of the microphone.

"Hello, how is everyone tonight?" She asked, as the crowd responded with a spatter of applause and a few comments. One man made a, less than polite, statement about what he would like to be doing. Appalled, Dai gave a look at the tall, burly man standing on the side of the stage. He nodded, his muscles seeming ready to tear through his tight black t-shirt. He pushed through the crowd to the man who made the comment, placing a hand on his shoulder. Dai paid no attention to how the bouncer got rid of the rude man, she'd rather not know.

Regaining her calm demeanor, she smiled and picked up the acoustic guitar she had been playing for four years now. She looked down on her guitar lovingly, running her fingers along the strings and playing a few quick chords to make sure it was in tune. When everything checked out, she turned her face to the mic and opened her mouth to sing. Her voice poured from her throat, shaping profound sentences about love and loss. The melody was sad, slow, and sweet. The performance was moving, and made quite a few people sway in their seats. Everyone was silent, no one moved, everyone kept their eyes on her. This was her power, the power to reshape the world with her voice. She enjoyed the use of the power, but more often than not she simply enjoyed using it to spread a feeling of acceptance and warmth into her fans and observers.

She continued to play for a long time, not caring if someone got up to leave or if a drunk at the bar was chased out. Nothing mattered by her music, and her observer's enjoyment. Since they seemed happy to sit and listen, she was happy to sit and play. Music continued to pour from the old guitar and the sore throat of the girl, seeming like it would never end. However, when her time was up she would quickly end the song she was playing without haste or delay. She did not complain or take her time with walking off of the stage, nor did she seem to rush away. She smiled as fans gave her compliments, coming up to her as she packed up her guitar. Moving to the bar, she ordered a water and leaned against the hard-wood counter, waiting for the bartender to get around to her.

Rono stood there near the bar and had his eyes closed and savored the music in which soon stopped and then opened his eyes lightly and looked at the girl. It seemed that she was leaving and Rono was quite disappointed. "Hmm...what a pity." He then saw her pack up and walk towards the bar and then he glanced to the side of his eyes and saw that she came right next to him. He took a sip of the drink that he had placed on the counter as he shifted his eyes closed and then sat the glass back down and thought about the melody of the song and how she had the audience caught up in what she was doing. Her breathing, smile, eyes, her movement seemed to hypnotize quite a portion of the people including Rono.

He smiled slightly with his eyes still closed and said in a calm and soothing voice. "You were very nice up there..." He said calmly, his voice over the other sudden music that played. His sensed he slight spiritual energy for the most part but he wasn't very good at sniffing that kind of stuff out. He did know that she was no ordinary human though. His calm eyes lit towards her wanting to know her the black pearled settings were shackled on her face. His facial expression stayed calm and collective. His leg positioning was one leg outward and one bent in slightly to keep his body leaned towards the counter. His face shifted forward again and he smiled lightly.

Dai raised a slender eyebrow toward the man curiously, before smiling sweetly. She grasped the bottle of water in her slender fingers and twisted off the cap. Placing the clear plastic to her lips, she tipped it upward and drank quickly from the bottle. Tipping it back down, she placed it on the mahogany counter and turned her face back to the man. She had to push her hair from her face to see him clearly; from the angle she was positioned she had to look up at him through her thick eyelashes. Smiling sweetly, she nodded slightly and replied.

"Thank you, its rough singing that much. Kills the throat, but I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." She said in a tone that implied she had said this more than once tonight. Despite the obvious annoyance with the tedious give and take of compliments and idle conversation, she smiled and showed him that he had her full attention, for the moment. The hand that didn't remain wrapped around her bottle of water moved slowly down to her thigh, reaching into a pocket on the side of her black and white checkered skirt. The skirt was pleated, and reached down to only about halfway down her thigh. She wore a pair of black and white checkered socks the went up just above her kneecaps to match. Producing an iPod, she placed one small white headphone in the ear that was turned away from him. The band that followed her had stopped playing and it was quiet again, meaning it was okay for her to listen to her own music.

An acoustic guitar broke the silence emanating from the headphone, a man's voice singing softly to her about a girl he once knew. Her smile changed, it was sincere and kind. Dai always felt relaxed and content when listening to music, nothing could break that emotion for her. Placing the iPod back in her pocket, she reached for her guitar case and pulled it closer to her, to give others room to sit at the bar.

Rono smiled lightly as his eyes were shut firmly and he scooted closer to the talented girl that seemed to be soothed by music. He then reached downward and grabbed her other earphone and placed it to his ear and smiled slightly and embraces the melody of the song. He leaned against the bar still and glanced back up at her facial expression to see if she would mind him sharing her music interests. Rono found the human ritual of music to be quite enjoyable. He smiled more as he tried to keep up with the soothing beat of the music. He shifted his left leg inward and then smiled while looking up at her and then opened his eyes lightly. His glass on side of him vibrated due to the movement of the many people within the estate. His black leather jacket and his black and slightly fitted pants protruded above his legs covering them.

He looked upwards and then blinked getting lost in the song and then he blinked as he sensed a sudden surge of reiatsu. He was near dropping the earphone and then he looked at her facial expression to see if she was able to feel it as well. He might have been completely to think her power was that advanced at all he simply couldn't help it it was s sort of a reaction. The reiatsu had disappeared completely and his eyes went back to back to there calm manner and his his mind surged away from the music. He finished the rest of his drink and left the bartender a tip and smiled at the nice girl that had spoke to him for that brief moment.

"Once again, miss that was an amazing performance....My name is Rono. It's a pitty I can't stay and talk to you longer but I have to go..." He smiled to himself and began to walk out of the bar and then reached the door and the sudden burst of reiatsu flowed violently. He pushed the door open and ran out towards it and searched for the one and off energy that pressured through the air. As a captain one would think that he would be better at it but he was just appointed so he was still getting used to it. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a soul pill and popped it into his mouth and swallowed it and was dispersed from the gigai and the mod soul took over and the spiritual detachment continued on the search for the random reiatsu.

"Darn it where is it....?!"

Ken smiled, ignoring his advance on her personal space by taking her headphone. Music was music, and she was always glad to share her good taste. Something worried her though, she felt something. Unable to place it, she looked around the bar, confused. Her brown eyes scanned the crowed, and moved to the door. The man's words barely hit her ears, she was oblivious. Pushing her chestnut hair back, she smoothed out the tight-fitting half-shirt that covered her breast, but still revealed her shiny musical note piercing over her belly button. The shirt itself was just a plain black one, with straps that barely covered her hot-pink bra straps. When the man left, she raised an eyebrow and picked up her guitar.

Forcing her way through the incoming crowd of men who had just gotten off of work, she apologized under her breath and forced her way outside. Stepping out into the cold fresh air, she looked to her right and saw nothing but a dark street illuminated by a single street light. Turning to her left, she watched as the shadowy figure that she had just had a conversation with disappeared around a corner in a hurry. His body lay on the ground before her, not moving. It didn't seem like anything had struck him or that he had been hurt at all. He just, fell over.

Getting an eerie feeling in her gut, she chased after the figure. Turning the corner quickly, she chased after him silently. Her vans padded against the off-white cement below her, as her legs pumped and her body pushed forward. Her chest heaved and her lungs burned, she wasn't used to running so much; she was out of shape. The guitar that was now attached to her back bumped against the base of her spine with every movement, making a slight thud that she ignored.
