Quintus was in karakura town, the small bit of wind blowing threw his long light brown hair. he was in his quincy uniform, his hazel eyes ablaze looking for any type of spiritual presence. he was happy he was here. the sun shined perfectly on the bracelet with the sign of his bow on it. he stopped on a small bridge and let the sun beat down on him. he closed his eyes. it felt nice, it made him feel.....alive.

if only artemis were here, he would probably like this as well..., he thought to himself. the wind grew a little stronger and his uniform flailed a little. then all of a sudden it got a bit darker. Quintus opened his eyes and saw that there was storm clouds approaching. he frowned slightly as he felt a spiritual presence near by.

Aiko strode slowly through the town of karakura, her bright pink cellphone in hand and searching for Hollow signals. There were no red dots on her constantly shifting map which filled the small screen. Sighing, she opened it up to reveal a small keyboard. Sending a text to the leader of her patrol group, she let him know that there were no hollows near her. Technology advances so fast... She thought to herself as she closed the phone. It was then that she heard the rumble of thunder and saw shadows darken as the sky was covered with massive black and gray clouds.

Looking up from the ground she had been staring at, she noticed a spiritual pressure and person standing on the bridge. She recognized the spiritual pressure as larger than normal, but could not place what it was. Retrieving her phone, she sent a text to her patrol leader again.
I'm going to be detained.

She approached the figure, her hand reaching for the handle of her sword as she cautiously closed the gap between them. Aiko made no noise, no movement to introduce herself. She only kept her guard up and her weapon ready.

Quintus noticed at last the spirit pressure as a shinigami,how delightful, he thought to himself. he closed his eyes and smiled as he knew the shinigami, possibly a girl, approached stealthly. he sighed,"Are you just going to try and sneak up on me and attack me when i know exactly where you are, shinigami? i expected a bit more from you." He said calmly. he turned towards the shinigami, and noticed it was a girl. he was not at all taken back by her beauty. he used a high speed technique and appeared behind behind her. very close, he whispered in her ear,"Who are you exactly girl? might i ask." he said this as to enchant her. but now was not the time for love. he quickly shunpo'd backwards a couple hundred yards and constructed his bow, flechas envenenadas. and aimed it at the shinigami, not drawing the bow,"Excuse me for asking your identety when i haven't correctly introduced myself, i am Quintus, the last quincy." and he waited there for a reply or action.

"Last is no way to address yourself in this day and age. We shinigami know exactly how your tribe was re-made, and that there are more of you out there somewhere." Aiko replied warily as she turned to him, her voice soft and calm. She was not one to get excited over something like an overwhelming spiritual pressure. It was obvious to her that the man was no child, but he wasn't exactly the strongest person she had ever met. Aiko had had the honor of serving as the guard to the Captain Commander's building once, and his spiritual pressure had prepared her to be able to remain stony-faced no matter what she faced.

Still, she knew she was outmatched by a long shot. However, the man had drawn a weapon against her and her pride and honor as a shinigami would not allow her to let him get away with that. Shit... She thought to herself as she drew the elegant blade that hung at her waist. "Aiko Ichitenbun, of the First Division. Let the name ring in your ears and stay in your head as you pass on from this life." She said in what she thought was an intimidating voice. In actuality, it was merely a regular talking voice compared to anyone else. To her she was practically shouting.

Quintus was not moved by the words she spoke, only that there were more quincy out in the world. he somewhat had a tiny bit of a tear in his eye remembering how the quincy were slaughtered. since then he considered himself the last quincy. he drew his bow,"I cannot pass into this life you speak of, because i will not let the quincy race down, and the shinigami purify those who are evil into a peaceful place after who knows how many poor souls they devooured, especially fellow quincy." he quietly said. "But i know what you think is right is somewhat ignorant, why pass evil souls on into the peace of the soul soceity? I can't help but wonder," he said,"Why?" and with that he drew and fired his bow, three hundred arrows flew at Aiko with unbeliveable speed. for you, master artemis...

Aiko's eyes grew wide as the arrows closed in on her. She pushed her hands forward, her lips forming around the words that would come as a whisper. "Enkosen..." She said quietly.

A circle of light formed before her, seeming to harden and darken in color. The arrows impacted with the circle of light, disappearing as the shield protected her from harm. Sweat trickled down her temple as she pushed her reishi into the shield, keeping it strong to keep her from harm. When the volley stopped the shield disappeared, and Aiko shunpo'd forward. When she was close enough to strike, she slashed out at the man's chest.

Quintus, having a bladed bow quickly blocked the slash with some difficulty, and he quickly used a quincy high spped technique to get behind her, and slashed with the bladed side of the bow, then shunpo'd back and fired another volley of arrows.

Aiko's blade clashed with his bow as she spun on her heel, blocking his attack just in time. Sparks flew from her metallic blade as it clashed with his spiritual bow. Each formed of spiritual pressure, each condensed and prepared for combat such as this. She would shunpo away as the volley of arrows began, landing in a tree nearby. She barely touched the bark of the tree with her bare feet before she launched herself forward, slashing as the man's Achilles tendon.

Quintus sw that trying to cut at the ack of his heels was the sort of a childish tactic. he quickly leaped up above the slash and fire a volley of arrows at the girl under him as she zoomed pass.

Aiko quickly rolled to her right, being struck in the arm by an arrow just as she escaped the range of projectiles. Grimacing, she stood and tried to ignore the burning pain that came from the gash in her arm. Blood trickled down her arm, lines of blood that traced patterns into the slight grooves of her flesh. Grunting, she lifted her blade and leaped at her opponent, slashing at his wrists with her blade quickly and with exceptional force.

Quintus, being in the world of the living, was a little bit weakend without a strong source of reshi. and when the girl slashed at him, all he could do was dodge, which meant using a high speed technique. he quickly was behind her ans fformed a quincy blade made of reshi. he slashed at her, then shunpo'd back. waiting for an action.

Aiko threw herself forward into a roll, allowing the blade of reishi to pass over her. Grimacing as blood poured from her wound, she stood and tore apart her sleeve. Wrapping it around the wound and tying it fast with her teeth, she staunched the bleeding. Holding her blade outward, she began to spin it at an extremely fast rate. Spiritual energy flew from the blade, creating a circle of deep, fuchsia light.

"Play with us, Osanai." Aiko said softly, as the light began to fade. The blade was still a blur of steel gray, not visible to either Aiko or Quintus. As it slowed, something odd happened. It was no longer one blade. It had become four larger blades attached to each other by one massive, metal ring.

Quintus shivered, this did not look good. he stood where he was. and constructed his quincy bow. andshot a volley of fifty arrows. the spirit energy was getting weaker. he needed to get to the world of the dead and fast. he decided he'd make a garganta after the attack hit.

((Quincy shouldn't be able to construct garganta. That's an arrancar/hollow ability. The only other person to demonstrate that ability in the series is Urahara. There's also the fact that the garganta leads to Hueco Mundo, not SS.))

The arrows struck her but did nothing, simply dispersing as they struck her jet black robes. Suddenly, she would appear before him. Holding out the blade, she smiled and slashed at his exposed throat. "Peach." She said in an extremely quiet, whispering voice. The massive blade moved in a blur, already close and closing in every second. It was a slash that would be deep enough to behead him if he didn't move, and even if he did the odds of not being scratched were slim. Maybe I can win... She thought to herself hopefully, quickly shaking the ridiculous thought from her head.

Quintus, turned around to see the girl behind him after she flashed stepped behind him then he saw a blur, and the outline was leaving an image behind it. all he could think of was: duck. and he did so with a lot of speed, adrenaline=fear=athleticness= awesome speed apparently. he quickly made his blade of reshi and sliced a her, many times, a jab, slash to the throat, slash to the feet upwards slash, downwards slash, and a thrust to finish it off. he noticed his blade was dulling in reshi, not too much spirit pressure was hear. he needed to get to another spot in town and fast. after the slashes he quickly used quincy high speed techniques to get to the other side of town and rich in spirit pressure. he constructed his bow and waited.

Aiko sighed as she followed the Quincy, her throwing star still in hand. She aimed for his head, throwing the star at him. It was heavy and powerful, slicing clean through a stop sign that stood in its way. The weapon was a blur as it went toward his neck with enough force to cut the head clean off of his shoulders. Smiling, she watched as the weapon moved toward him, knowing that no matter what her weapon would return to her.

Quintus could hear the small 'shink' of a blade and the buzz of it spinning at high speed, then he heard metal cutting. he turned around in surprise, and saw a blur, having only seconds it react, he ducked, while keeping his reitsu blade up repelling it, the star had cut some of his hair of. oh well, its not like it mattered. he aimed at her and fired a small volley of fifteen arrows, he absolutely needed to get to the world of the dead and get more reitsu, soon he would have absolutely no defense at all. only his fist.
