Shijin enjoys to write Kanji symbols. He loves to write poems. In these poems it mainly expresses how feels about things going about around him. He may write a darker or lighter poem depending on his mood. His usual poetry writing is free verse. He turns his poems into poetic stories.
He also likes to keep a diary around, he writes in this frequently. His brush seems to be constantly well dipped and writing.

-Temper-
Shijin has a very cool temper. Its pretty hard to insult him. But he does not like it when he compliments one, and in return that one replies with an insult. He is rather agitated when people do not use proper manners. And can be very suspicious and moody when someone whispers in front of him. He can't help but wonder what or who the two mat be talking about.

Shijin is very well mannered. And usually uses proper english. And can be irritated when someone uses 'slang' around him. He appreciates others and their manners as well. -History:
Childhood Arc: When Shijin was born, his mother along as three of his younger siblings died. His father dropped he and his two sisters at the orphanage. And due to extreme abuse from the orphan keeper the two sisters died at the age of two. Shijin, who was put to work at grinding corn into flower, as the orphanage belonged to a factory. It was very tiring work. And they barely had anything to eat. Where he lived in the Karakura district was very poor. But the only thing that supported Shijin was his writing. He would constantly make up idea's of freedom and other subjects he found fascinating, and he would constantly write poems, usually on a wall. But when he had the paper he would write like there was no tomorrow. He self taught himself the older version of Kanji. And would write with beautiful accuracy. The orphan keeper would on occasion sell his writing for money. Claiming the money all for herself.
Shijin was five, and the orphan keeper put him into kinder-garden at the Karakura elementary. Where he learned mathematics, basics. He would constantly ace his writing class. Although his least favorite teacher was his writing teacher. She couldn't help but give him an A. Which satisfied the orphan keeper. But soon, the other children at the orphanage became jealous of knowledge, and would constantly bully him. Until he would be constantly covered in cuts and bruises.
Pre-Teen Arc:
When Shijin hit the age of eleven. He had a talk with the orphan keeper. The orphan keeper listened attentively. And after their little conversation. Shijin packed his things. Over the many years, Shijin had been saving up on Ryo. And had afforded enough to buy a license. And bought an apartment in Karakura town. And was able to afford to go to Karakura Middle school. That night, he left under the cover of darkness. Never to be forced labor like the ones he endured. For now.
