Living life with a friend (invite only)

Leaning back in the smooth grass, Nero streched out like a cat. Reaching forward with his hands he smoothed the wrinkles out of his chef's garb. He had told Mibae to meet him at the training grounds, but he got bored and dozed off. Sure he had only been here 20 minutes but whatever. She had known him long enough to just tell him to get off his ass, or just kick the piss out of him depending on her mood today.

Smiling at the memories summoned up by his thoughts, his three times oversized teeth shined at the sky. Pushing himself off the ground he yawned, damn this perpetual sleepiness, it never leaves him. Drawing his twin cleavers off his back he gave them a few experimental twirls, talking quitely to himself he said,"What snack should I have today." While in deep thought he was staring at the ground gently rubbing his stomach.

"Sushi. Delicious and so easy, I could make it." Mibae said in a quiet and joking tone as she randomly appeared behind him. She was bent over, her face directly near his ear and her hands on her hips. Today she wore her haori, the massive cloak covering the massive amount of flesh that her skimpy outfit usually revealed. Her powerful arms reached around his collar, giving him a rough one-armed hug. Smiling, she spun around him and plopped to the ground in front of him.

Drawing the broadsword from its sheath she placed it on her lap to make it more comfortable for her. Her slender fingers wrapped around the smooth leather wrapping of the handle, squeezing instinctively for a split second before relaxing. A lock of purple hair fell free from its torturous prison of a ponytail, falling in front of her right eye as she gazed at the blade. "But seriously, your sushi is amazing." She added cheerfully. Today she was in a good mood.

When Nero felt Mibae's arm wrap around his neck he smiled, he was glad there was at least one person who enjoyed his food. Letting her sit him down he just had to comment on her state of dress,"Wow, you have on normal cloths today, its like the Comander died or something." Little did he know that was the case. Watching her sit and lay her sword on her lap, he took the compliment from her in stride. Looking into her eyes he realised that she had been his best friend for years now. Even if she had been taken and trained by the old 2nd division captain, they had still stayed in touch.

Reaching into his sachel, he brought out some tuna, wasabi, and seaweed wrap. Putting his left cleaver away he started the sushi wraping process. "So I've heard that you were promoted to captain, bought damn time if you ask me." Finishing the sushi wrap he sliced the entire roll into thirds. Pumping some energy into it Nero placed it into some wraping paper and put it on the flat of Midae's broadsword.

"Haha. Well, it did take a while." She said as she smiled and took up one of the sushi rolls. Popping it into her mouth, she chewed slowly allowing the savory flavors to wash over her pallet and make her mouth water a bit. Finishing the chewing process she swallowed and picked up another roll of sushi. Looking down at it, she raised an eyebrow and noticed something.

Shaking her head, she smiled and picked up the other sushi roll. This roll she placed on her thigh, removing the sword from its place. Cutting the sushi in half with the blade of her broad sword, she picked up one messy clump of sushi and offered it to him with the other one. "You cut in odds, we may be odd but our number is even." She said, wiping her broadsword on the dewy grass to clean it.

Letting his abnormally large smile spread across his face, Nero gratefully accepted the sushi roll offered to him. Placing it in his mouth he enjoyed his own cooking, when he closed his mouth around the tasty morsel his eyes closed with it. In his mind's eye the colors flashed before him, the greens of rice and seaweed wrap, the pink of fish, it was delightful. Opening his eye's he looked straight ahead in Mibae's eye's," Thank you for the offer." Then with speed betraying his size snatched the other roll out of her hand and popped it in his mouth.

With a shunpo to the other side of the field, Nero stretched out his back. Drawing his other cleaver he shot a smile at Mibae. " I need a good workout, you up for one?"

"Only if your version of a workout is an intense as mine." Kuroda said jokingly from where she sat on the other side of the field. Her voice carried through the silent field to her friend, she was sure of that. Standing up, she wiped rice grains from the side of her mouth and produced a length of silk from somewhere in the folds of her baggy pants. She drew the silvery cloth over her blade, wiping it clean with one fluid motion. Suddenly, the blade was back in its sheath at the base of her spine and Kuroda was just a few inches away from her friend. Her violet hair bobbed back and forth as the wind played with it, her muscles tensing and relaxing as she prepared for a spar. In a flash Kuroda reappeared next to her old friend, throwing a blow toward his stomach. It was clear that she either didn't care for his safety or didn't know her own strength; her blow was both crippling and bone-crushing. It moved in a blur of black and the pale tone of her skin, at a rate far exceeding any human levels.

Nero knew she spoke but at this point he was focusing at he sharpening his eye's and sense of touch to overcome any soon attacks. Watching her movements carefully he wasn't surprised at all when she sped towards him. The small blast of wind that ruffled his cloths he twisted to the side, her punch slapped the edge of his belly fat, with an unnaturally large grin he twisted his body forward again. Sheathing his cleavers behind him he met Mibae's eyes, throwing a look of comedic warning straight at her. Tensing the powerful muscles in his legs he shunpo'd his body forward in a powerful belly slam at her. This was a ridiculous move that was purely to take Midae by surprise. She obviously hasn't started to take this serious yet if she sheathed her sword, thus he would have fun with this fight at first also.

Mibae sighed as her fist struck his belly fat, obviously doing no more than possibly tickling him. The one disadvantage she had against him was that she had no fat or other cushioning effects to her body, he could practically absorb her blows while using the same cushioning material as a weapon in the form of body slams or simply allowing his weight to power his attacks. A perfect example of this suddenly occured as he threw himself toward her, cruising through the air at a dangerous speed. With an expert shunpo she circled him, appearing directly behind his rotund body and throwing a kick at his back, this was meant more to propel him even further, causing him to spiral out of control and roll away. Neither of them was about to take the fight very seriously just yet, it seemed.

The large smile never left Nero's face, he was truly enjoying this. It had been such a long time sense Mibae and he have had fun together. Feeling the spiritual presence of Mibae behind him he braced himself for the kick. When it made contact he was sent tumbling forward, curling into a ball and condensing his spiritual pressure around his body his turned into a rolling ball of soon to be tree death. Tree's were thrown to the sides as he barreled through them, when his momentum had been dragged down by friction he slowly stood up.

Stretching his back out Nero turned to the second division captain," Is it time to be serious yet?" Quirking his eyebrow a fraction of an inch with his smile still plastered to his face he unsheathed both his zanpukto with one hand and took a piece of jerky out with the other. Mibae was fast, so he would just have to even the grounds. Placing the piece of quincy in his mouth he calmly chewed and swallowed it. Now with the extra boost of speed he got into a ready stance with his two blades in both of his hands.
